What has changed in the requirements for new bol sellers?

The biggest change? You no longer need to set up a business entity in the Netherlands or Belgium to sell on bol. This means you can list your products on bol while operating from your current location, saving you time and reducing costs. You also don’t have to worry about shipping from these countries—fulfilling orders from anywhere in the EU is now completely fine, as long as you deliver within 8 working days. Or, you can use bol’s fulfillment services.

bol has also lifted the requirement for telephone support in Dutch, allowing sellers to provide customer care in English. This change makes bol more accessible to a wider range of EU sellers, further broadening the platform’s appeal.

Are there other requirements for sellers?

While bol has eased some restrictions, there are still some basic requirements that all sellers must meet:

  • Your products must fit into one of the categories that bol supports.
  • Each product must have an EAN (GTIN) or ISBN number.
  • You must be able to deliver products within 1 to 8 working days.
  • Customers must be allowed to return products within 30 days.
  • You must respond to customer queries within 24 hours.
  • You must meet the service standards set by bol.
