DEI and employee well-being
We are committed to being an inclusive employer where diversity is valued and mental well-being is prioritized.
We ensure that all hiring decisions are based on merit, qualifications, and business needs.
At ChannelEngine, we believe in creating a diverse, inclusive, and supportive environment where our employees can thrive. As a company that connects global ecommerce, we believe that human connections are essential too, which is why we are committed to making sure every individual feels valued, respected, and empowered to succeed.
We celebrate our diverse community
We are an equal opportunity employer, meaning all hiring decisions are based on qualifications, merit, and business needs—without bias or discrimination. We’re dedicated to building an inclusive workplace that supports diversity in all forms, including age, gender identity, sexual orientation, ethnicity, and physical or mental abilities. This commitment also extends to recognizing and supporting mental health as part of our inclusive culture.
At ChannelEngine, we celebrate the unique talents and perspectives of our team. We believe diversity fuels innovation and helps us grow as a stronger, more dynamic organization.
We prioritize mental health and well-being
Mental health is a priority at ChannelEngine. We provide employees with access to a range of mental health resources via our partnership with OpenUp. Employees can speak 1:1 with a qualified Psychologist, attend masterclasses, join group sessions, or even do self check-ins, about all manner of topics from healthy eating to stress management. These tools help our team manage stress, improve their work-life balance, and take care of their overall well-being.
Leadership plays a key role in promoting mental health across the company. In the video below, our CEO, Jorrit Steinz, and Senior People & Culture BP, Tessa Knijnenburg, discuss how we’re committed to creating a culture of openness and support.
Some examples of our ongoing efforts:
- Frequent cultural awareness and diversity training sessions and workshops
- Gender-neutral parental, adoption, and foster leave
- Custom work arrangements including flexible hours, and hybrid and remote working, to accommodate different needs
- Accessible offices that accommodate employees with disabilities
- Mental health care and well-being support program
- Inclusive marketing and branding: ensuring that advertising and marketing materials represent diverse populations authentically
- Structured recruitment processes and diverse interview panels to mitigate bias during hiring processes
- A comprehensive behavior and integrity policy that outlines our zero tolerance approach to undesirable behavior, including, but not limited to, harassment, discrimination, and bullying, and clear details on the reporting mechanisms in place.
